Our brothers in the VA-TN-SC area are invited to join the Carpenters for Christ at Ragland Memorial Baptist Church in Goochland, VA for a three day mission project to assist the church with painting and other finish work. Dates for the project are September 21-23, 2017. Participants are encouraged to arrive Wednesday evening, September 20, however, you are welcome to come anytime your schedule permits. Those needing housing will stay at Ragland Church. The church anticipates that the showers and restrooms in the new building will be completed and available for use. Cost for the trip is $30.00. Teenagers age 14 and over who are still considered dependents of their parents may participate at no charge. Registration is required for both paying and non-paying members.

Breakfast will be served at 6:50 AM, lunch and Bible study will commence at 1:00 PM and supper will be served at 6:30 PM. An evening fellowship of testimonies will follow the supper meal.

On Sunday, September 24, 2017 The Beulah Baptist Church in Kent's Store, VA will be dedicating their new building. You are encouraged to attend the dedication from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM at Beulah. Ragland Baptist Church has consented to allowing those who are utilizing their facility for sleeping to stay over Saturday night in order to attend the dedication.

  • sleeping bag and/or air mattress (twin size)
  • pillow
  • bathroom linens
  • toilet articles
  • long pants
  • your personal tools (anything that goes in or hangs on your tool belt – if you don’t have a tool belt or tools, come anyway)
    • hammer
    • nail apron/tool belt
    • 25' tape measure
    • gloves
    • hardhat (if possible)
    • protective eye wear

Travel arrangements

Participants are encouraged to arrive Wednesday, September 20, by 7:00 PM (local time). Work starts Thursday, September 21, at 6:00 AM (local time).
